Desktop app or CLI: what’s the difference?
With the Claude or Codex desktop app, the FuseBase plugin handles CLI setup for you. With the manual route, you install the FuseBase CLI yourself and use it with your coding tool. Both build the same kind of FuseBase apps.
Why can using my subscription cost less?
An eligible Claude or ChatGPT plan includes coding usage, so you can use what you already pay for instead of paying separately for API tokens. Savings depend on your plan and usage limits. AI services inside your finished app are billed separately.
Why restart after creating a Product?
Creating a Product adds new FuseBase connections. Your coding agent loads them when it starts. Close and reopen the agent in the same project folder, approve the connections if asked, then tell it to continue.
What’s the difference between a Product and an App?
A Product is the project that holds one or more Apps. An App is the tool people use. For example, one client-service Product could contain a request tracker and a reporting App.
Do I need to know how to code?
Describe your app in plain language. The agent helps build it; you review and test the result.
Where can I use my app?
In a client portal, internally with your team, or as a standalone app.
